An increasing number of New Zealanders open the doors of their private family homes to paying visitors coining the phrase 'homestay' accommodation. By choosing to stay with a New Zealand homestay family, you have an unique opportunity to immerse yourself in Kiwi homes, culture, style and language.
Homestay accommodation is as varied as the housing styles found throughout the country, but typically a homestay accommodation means that you stay in rooms or annexes within the family home.
Homestays may be urban or rural houses, cottages, villas, working farms or seaside lodges.
