Christchurch Tramway is an inner city tour experience that combines the heritage of the trams, attractions and historical buildings with the culture of the Garden City.
The beautifully restored heritage trams follow a 2.5 kilometre loop around central Christchurch, taking in some of the most interesting sights. Tram stops include:
- Cathedral Square
- Worcester Bridge
- Arts Gallery
- Art Centre
- Clock Tower
- Hagley Park
- Cranmer Square
- Casino
- Victoria Square
- New Regent Street
- Tram Station
Christchurch Tramway operates several beautifully restored trams. One of these trams has been especially fit with a truly unique restaurant. Relax in the luxury of the 36 seater, air-conditioned, colonial-style Dining Tram and be treated to the finest service, cuisine and beverages New Zealand has to offer. The Christchurch Tramway Restaurant is an experience not to be missed.
By using an all day pass, you can hop on and off at any of the nine stops around the inner city tram loop and experience the inner city sights and attractions at your leisure.
Tickets last for two consecutive days, and can be bought online, at the Tram Station or from the friendly tram conductor when you board the tram.
