Fragrant Garden
The Fragrant Garden in Feilding is a commercial production nursery specialising in herbs and lavender.
The Fragrant Garden is over one hectare in size and takes a minimum of 30 minutes to walk around and view in its entirety.
The Fragrant Garden is open six days a week (closed Tuesdays). Visitors are welcome to visit the display gardens.
Pukemarama
In coastal Manawatu you'll find Pukemarama.
Pukemarama is an ornate, late-Victorian timber Homestead and stable, built in 1900 on the highest point between the mouth of the Rangitikei River and Palmerston North.
The beautiful gardens are a classic example of the formal English gardens that were popular in the 19th century.
Victoria Esplanade Gardens
A garden on a grand scale can be found in the city of Palmerston North. The Victoria Esplanade Gardens were opened to mark Queen Victoria's 60th Jubilee.
Features include a large duck pond, a cherry drive and an avenue of phoenix palms. The rose garden has over 5,500 varieties and incorporates the International Rose Trial Grounds.
There are walkways and a miniature railway through native bush.
Kimbolton Gardens
Kimbolton is a small town located in the Manawatu region of New Zealand. Here you will find three beautiful gardens that are open to the public: Cross Hills, Heritage Park and Woodland Grange.
Cross Hills Gardens
At Cross Hills Gardens, you can enjoy a park-like garden that includes one of the world's finest collections of rhododendrons and azaleas. The gardens cover seven hectares with over 2,000 different varieties of rhododendron and an astounding collection of other trees, shrubs and flowering plants on display.
The Cross Hills Gardens are a world class attraction and are open every day September - May, 10.30 am to 5 pm. The peak Spring season is between October and November.
Heritage Park Rhododendron Garden
Heritage Park Rhododendron Garden is a non profit garden located on the outskirts of Kimbolton. The gardens cover four hectares of rolling countryside and feature over 1,000 species of rhododendron and associated trees and shrubs. There are six small lakes located around the gardens.
Woodland Grange
The Woodland Grange gardens are located within the small town of Kimbolton. The garden covers four acres and includes large varieties of mature trees, rhododendrons, camellias, roses, hydrangeas and daffodils in spring as well as a pond.
Woodland Grange also offers accommodation and a chapel. It is a popular venue for weddings.
