Westland National Park extends from the highest peaks of the Southern Alps to the remote beaches of the wild West Coast.
Westland National Park offers a wide range of attractions including snow-capped mountains, glaciers, forests, tussock grasslands, lakes, rivers, wetlands and beaches. There are a range of walking and tramping tracks available in the park.
Accommodation for visitors to Westland National Park is available in the small towns of Franz Josef and Fox Glacier. Within Westland National Park there are five huts for mountaineers and six backcountry huts for walkers.
