Spend a Day Admiring the Sky, Sea & Seals of Nugget Point

At Nugget Point you can visit the lighthouse built in 1869. Fur seals and sea lions, sooty shearwaters, shags and yellow-eyed penguins (hoiho) and a breeding colony of gannets can all be found here. The roar of the sea will fill your ears, the visual drama of vast skies, endless ocean and plummeting cliffs is gripping.
