Oceanside Escape's beachfront accommodation in Napier is located on the 3rd and 4th floors of an apartment building accessed by external stairs, with internal stairs once inside. Subsequently access may be difficult (or not possible) for those with a physical disability.

Due to the access via an open balcony and stairs, adult supervision is required at all times for any children accessing the Napier beachfront apartment.

Napier, the main city of the Hawke's Bay region, has one of the largest concentrations of Art Deco buildings in the world.

The Hawke's Bay vineyards are all within a short distance of Napier and Hastings, the other city in the region. More than 30 vineyards are open to the public for wine tasting.
