Welcome to Turangi Holidays, our self-catering Turangi apartments situated near the mountains and just minutes walk from The Tongariro River.
Our Lake Taupo luxury accommodation has just been renovated by an award-winning design team, and the finish is to a very high standard.
We have three apartments available for rent separately, or all three can be rented out as a complex.
These three apartments at our fishing and skiing luxury accommodation will cater for all your needs:
The Perch – A two-bedroom, fully equipped apartment overlooking the mountains. This large apartment has been set up as a luxurious retreat, everything has been designed for comfort and ease.
Entertaining is what this space was made for with open plan living, indoor/outdoor flow, fully equipped kitchen, BBQ, and two private decks that overlook the mountains.
The Roost – A four-bedroom, fully equipped apartment overlooking the gardens. Featuring a luxurious master bedroom, with views across the grounds. The fit pit is great for outdoor entertaining, so you can relax in front of the fire while looking at the views of the mountains.
Three bedrooms have double or queen beds and the fourth bunk room has two single beds. The back bedrooms all have sliders out to their own private paved areas.
This apartment has two separate bathrooms, with a wet floor shower and a separate basin area. It is also accessible (feel free to call +64 21 777 120 for more information about the access facilities).
The Vine – A one-bedroom, fully equipped apartment overlooking the mountains. This cute apartment has been designed with a fully equipped kitchen and a bi-fold window that opens the whole length of the kitchen bench, through to the deck outside and the BBQ.
Overlooking the mountains, you can sit back and watch the sunset over the extensive garden of this property.
If you are a company, club, or group wanting enough space to house 18 people (eight double beds and two single beds) in complete comfort, with massive gardens and BBQ areas big enough to socialise all together, then these properties are the place for you.
They can be rented out as a complex allowing the whole group to be in the same place. Parking and facilities are no problem.

Turangi is set in the mountains of the central North Island, on the shores of Lake Taupo. The surrounding rivers are considered to be some of the best rivers for trout fishing in the world.
Swimming, boating, water-skiing, canoeing and fishing are just a few things that you can take part in on the lake. There are some amazing walks, including the world-famous Tongariro Crossing.
It is just a 40-minute drive to the mountain from Turangi for a days skiing, with hire shops just round the corner. Everything is on your door step, hot pools after a long day up the mountain to relax those aching muscles.
Lake Taupo was created a few thousand years ago by a volcanic eruption so big that the sun went hazy in China. Almost everywhere you look there's a volcano. Just a few minutes north of the Lake at Wairakei you'll find geothermal fields, boiling mud pools and steaming geysers.
Lake Taupo is a great vacation destination in both summer and winter. Trout fishing is a major attraction—it's now over 100 years since the first trout fry were released into the lake and today it is one of the last true wild trout fisheries in the world.
Skiing and adventure activities are other reasons to visit. And when you're not on the lake or up a mountain, you'll find the Taupo town centre crammed with cafes and interesting shops. The nearby Huka Falls area is great for picnics and nature walks—or you could take a thrilling jet boat ride right to the foot of the thundering water.
A few minutes south of Lake Taupo is Tongariro National Park, New Zealand's first national park and a World Heritage area. It was created in 1887 when its three magnificent volcanoes, Ruapehu, Tongariro and Ngauruhoe, were gifted to the people of New Zealand by the Ngati Tuwharetoa people.
On the western side of the Lake Taupo is the Pureora Forest Park, home to such rare creations as the shy kaka or bush parrot, and the not-so-shy fluorescent blue mushroom.
