You can arrive in style to the café society on one of our free fun motor scooters, or explore our "slice of heaven" on our free mountain bikes.

Fourteen self-contained and fully serviced brand new Lake Wanaka apartments provide a choice of one, two or three-bedroom luxury living in warm, alpine luxury. It's easy to imagine toasting your toes in front of cosy flames in a stone fireplace, surrounded by beautiful exposed Baltic timbers at this luxury accommodation in Wanaka.

You'll find all the expected features at our Lake Wanaka apartments such as spas, computer-controlled central and under-floor heating, plus unexpected touches that border on the indulgent.

Just the two of you? Choose the one-bedroom apartment with its queen-size bed, walk-in robes and porcelain-tiled bathroom. Sprawl in soft lounge chairs and watch Sky TV or DVD's on a 29" flat screen in front of a real flame fire.

Make yourself real coffee in the granite-topped kitchenette. Relax in your spa bath or on your private patio—it's the ultimate blend of privacy, convenience, rustic charm and luxury.

Four people? Our two-bedroom apartment will suit you. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one with queen-size bed, another with two singles that convert to super-king-size. Downstairs there's a 42" plasma TV, dining table for six and a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel fridge, gas hot plates and electric under-bench oven.

The piece de resistance? A wall-mounted Miele professional espresso machine!

Outside you'll find a heated pool* and a beautiful spa set in stone by a roaring fire. Activities in Wanaka

Winter – (June, July, August) Daytime temperature range 5° to 12°C—snow time! Wanaka becomes "Snow Central" as snow lovers converge on the region for some of the best alpine conditions in the Southern Hemisphere. Resorts include as Cardrona Alpine Resort, Treble Cone Ski Area and Snow (cross country skiing) and the Snow Park. And the Queenstown area, within an hour's drive of Wanaka, offers two more resorts, Coronet Peak and The Remarkables.

Want maximum excitement? Go heli-skiing to find pristine powder snow against the stunning backdrop of the Southern Alps and Lake Wanaka. Want quiet times? Try the last weeks of July and September, when warmer temperatures provide brilliant 'spring corn' snow that's so easy and pleasurable for skiing and snowboarding.

Spring – (September, October) Daytime temperature range 11° to 17°C—What a beautiful season! Perfect sunny days skiing or snowboarding, while the new growth and blossoms burst out to bask in the warmer weather.

You'll burst outdoors too, to explore the rich adventures waiting for you—fishing or kayaking in the lakes and rivers, hiking or biking through the mountain trails. And our Wanakafest in the second week of September is fun for the whole family.

Summer – (November to February) Daytime temperature range 21° to 30+°C—Ah, the bliss of long hot summer days with glorious twilights that seem to last forever. Summer is the perfect season to enjoy everything that wonderful Lake Wanaka offers: windsurfing, yachting, water skiing, wake boarding, fishing and more.

Or you may prefer to explore the foothills and Mount Aspiring National Park, walking or hiking, climbing mountains, hunting and fly-fishing. Best of all, the long relaxing evenings with family and friends, a BBQ and excellent wines from the local wineries.

Autumn – (March, April, May) Daytime temperature range 12° to 20°C—Autumn in Wanaka has a very special beauty as the whole of this magic place turns crimson and gold. The richness of colour and the pure clarity of light make it a perfect time for painting and photography, with brilliant reflections in the still waters of Lake Wanaka. It's a time of arts, crafts and exploration for the whole family in a gorgeous wonderland.
