A Nest on Mt Pleasant is our B&B in Christchurch, a unique self-contained home with all the service and warm hospitality of a homestay.
We live right next door and are there for you at all times. We have travelled extensively both overseas and within New Zealand, so we think we know what our guests expect from us.
Our B&B in Christchurch is situated in one of the city's most loved hill suburbs and set in native bush with views from the living areas of our estuary, sea and mountains beyond.
The whole house is also available for short term rental accommodation in Christchurch. All you need to bring is clothes and food.
The Nest is built on three levels with extensive decking, for maximum enjoyment of its hillside setting. Extensive use of natural timber adds to the warmth of this standalone B&B in Christchurch.
There is a lot of inside and outside living space for total relaxation.

Suzanne is right...this is the best B&B. We have found all Kiwis to be kind and welcoming, but you two top the charts. Thank you for a most memorable stay.

Thank for your kind hospitality, putting the fire on when we out so we came home to a nice warm house was great. A lovely place to stay and relax. We are looking forward to coming back.

Kathryn and Kai and your fabulous house have been one of the highlights of our trip so far. Those wonderful cookies, exchanging adventure stories about Iran and all those special touches that made our stay memorable.

We really enjoy being with people. We travelled extensively for 40 years in connection with Kai's job as a wool exporter.
When retirement came we really missed meeting people, be it clients or colleagues from overseas, who in many cases stayed with us, at their “home away from home”.
We very much look forward to meeting you one day.

Tamaki Heritage Village – Set in an era of dramatic change in New Zealand's history, the evening encounter, “Lost in our Own Land” re-lives the impact of colonization upon our indigenous nation, the Maori people from 1820 onward.
Enter the Maori Pa (village) and experience our people's way of life during this fractious time. Travel by tram through the colonial town. Feel the impact of this time of change first hand. Feast upon traditional Maori hangi and Colonial banquet food. Enjoy the steam train ride at the end of the evening as you take with you memories of this journey and events that shaped the our country.
