Irish and kiwi hosts, Olivia and Alan Johnston, welcome you to Lisburn House, their historic Dunedin bed and breakfast accommodation.
Our boutique accommodation in Dunedin was completed in 1865 as a townhouse for an outram farming family. This two storey, Gothic-style, historic home has been preserved in original exterior condition, with decorative polychrome brickwork walls, latticework slate roof and stained glass.
Our Dunedin bed and breakfast accommodation offers three distinctive bedrooms, each with its own style: "Blue", "Rose" and "Victorian", all with individual bathrooms.
Guests are invited to enjoy the warmth of the unique oval open fireplace in the entrance hall, complimentary port and shortbread is also offered.
Three upstairs queen bedrooms are available at our Dunedin bed and breakfast accommodation, each with private bathroom, including a bath in the en suite.
All of these bedrooms feature four poster beds and quality bed linen. Fresh fruit, flowers, chilled water, potpourri and towelling robes are also provided.

The hosts of this boutique accommodation in Dunedin are Olivia and Alan Johnston, well-known Dunedin restaurateurs. At Lisburn House they provide a fully licensed restaurant, The Claddagh.
A warm and friendly atmosphere, diners are presented in the old drawing room with delicious gourmet food by candlelight and open fire. Bookings at The Claddagh are essential.
The restaurant is a real traditional kiwi A la carte restaurant, Alan is a chef with overseas experience, and Olivia is very knowledgeable about wines.
There is dining for up to 30 people and have over 100 wines to choose from.
Our boutique accommodation in Dunedin is easily found three minutes drive south of the "Octagon", Dunedin's city centre.
Coming to Dunedin from the north continue south through the city centre via the one-way system on State Highway 1. Turn left at the Caversham turnoff after passing the Carisbrook sports arena.
Travelling from the south turn right at the Caversham turnoff which is the first set of lights on entering the city. Lisburn Avenue is the fifth street on the left on the north side of the Caversham village.
