Glacial Rock Farm Cottages offers Te Anau bed and breakfast accommodation, situated on our farm, down Tutoko Lane, a private sealed lane four kilometres from Te Anau.
Our bed and breakfast accommodation in Fiordland is only five minutes from town, yet free from the hustle and traffic noise of Te Anau.
The farm is terraced on the banks of the Upukeroa river with Fiordland cottage accommodation situated 200 metres above Lake Te Anau with a 180 degree alpine panorama and ideally situated for stunning views up the lake.
Relax at our Te Anau bed and breakfast and watch the wapiti (elk) and red deer, along with the highland cattle, sheep and welsh mountain ponies grazing in the surrounding paddocks from your sunny window seat or the swing seat on your spacious veranda.

Breakfast is provided at our Fiordland accommodation and includes fresh farm eggs and home-made muesli, tea, coffee and herbal teas. Gluten free and dairy free provisions are available upon request.

Our 70 acre farm borders the Upukeroa River which is great for fishing, horse riding and swimming. Our Te Anau bed and breakfast is centrally located, allowing easy access to Fiordland's other great fishing rivers.
We are happy to have you help with jobs on the farm such as feeding the stock (subject to the season requirements).
Within 10 minutes from our Te Anau bed and breakfast you can be walking on the Famous Kepler track alongside Lake Te Anau or the Waiau River, through the spectacular Beech forest.
The boat trips on the Doubtful or Milford Sounds are memorable experiences with the overnight trips guaranteed to leave a life long impression.
For those who are a little more active, kayaking among the awe inspiring fiords is a fantastic option.
We can assist with time tabling and bookings if required.
Glacial Rock Cottages are situated five minutes drive out of Te Anau; down Tutoko Lane which runs off State Highway 94. If you are travelling from Queenstown or Invercargill you will come to Tutoko Lane on your right before you reach Te Anau. Glacial Rock cottages are situated 1.4 kilometres down the lane on the left. We are the only houses on the private lane.
Our Te Anau bed and breakfast is a one and three quarter hours drive from Queenstown and one and a half hours from Invercargill.
Fiordland is located on the south-west coast of the South Island of NZ.
As one of the most dramatic and beautiful parts of New Zealand, Fiordland has achieved World Heritage status and is often called the Sightseeing and Walking Capital of the world.
The best base for exploring the Fiordland region is the attractive resort town of Te Anau. From here it is an easy two hours drive to Milford Sound and twenty minutes drive to Lake Manapouri and the start of a Doubtful Sound excursion. The road to Milford Sound is considered to be one of the world's finest alpine drives.
