We look forward to giving you a memorable holiday in peaceful surroundings and homely atmosphere in our sunny and secluded haven. Our self catering accommodation in Nelson is a great place to unwind, relax, and share the great things you will discover and enjoy in the Nelson and Tasman regions.
We offer a breakfast tray featuring local fruits in season, a selection of cereals, and locally produced jams. We deliver your tray in the evening, for you to enjoy at your leisure in the morning. We can provide dinner by arrangement.
Your hosts Ann and Nick James have lived in Nelson for many years. Ann's forefathers arrived here in the first immigrant ships in 1842, so we know the city and Nelson province very well and would be happy to assist in making your stay a memorable one. We have hosted many foreign students and are well travelled.

Out of Africa – a self-contained studio unit up one flight of stairs, with a large open space, plenty of room to move around, and a private outdoor area for a BBQ.
Background: Nick's parents emigrated from England to Rhodesia in 1948. He was born at Gatooma and attended boarding schools in Rhodesia and Northern Rhodesia whilst his parents farmed. The whole family immigrated to New Zealand from Zambia in 1966 to Motueka. Nick has lived and worked in New Zealand ever since arriving.
The memories of growing up in Southern Africa, the way of life, the farms, the Africans and the animal life are still very strong. We are hoping to visit the game reserves of Southern Africa within the next few years.
We love it here! Witty and charming hosts. Beautiful rooms and the BEST location, quiet, sunny and close to town and walking trails. We will definitely be back next year.”

A Touch Oriental – a one-bedroom, self-contained guest apartment on the ground floor of our home and has a separate bedroom and lounge, and a private lounge area.
