Our Otago Bed and Breakfast Accommodation

We offer comfort and quality in our centrally heated character home. The bedrooms of our boutique Balclutha accommodation are tastefully furnished and have wonderful views overlooking the gardens.

The McSkimming Room – The McSkimming room with its delightful outlook onto the verandah has its own private bathroom that was once the maid's sitting room. The beds have electric blankets, woolen duvets and bathrobes. This room of our Balclutha accommodation contains a queen-sized bed plus a single bed.

The McNish Room – The McNish room with its feel of spaciousness, overlooks the gardens and has an air of privacy to it. The queen bed in this room at our Otago bed and breakfast has a woolen duvet and electric blankets. The private bathroom was once the water tank and has commanding views over the countryside and Nugget Point. Soak in the bath with aromatherapy oils, a glass of wine and a good book or simply enjoy the wonderful shower.

The Pelling Room – Overlooking the rear garden the Pelling room is furnished with an antique oak double bed with a quality mattress, electric blanket and feather duvet. The Pelling room now has its own bathroom.

The McKinlay Room – This room at our Balclutha accommodation was once the nursery and is now a delightful guest bedroom with oak furniture and again has an antique bed with quality furnishings. This room is only available as a shared room with the Pelling room.

Dining and Facilities at our Otago Bed and Breakfast

Make yourself at home during your stay at our Otago bed and breakfast. If you would like any assistance with tours, local sights, or what to see, we are happy to help.

Guests are free to listen to music, borrow a book, play the piano, watch Sky television or just wander the gardens of our Balclutha accommodation.

Breakfast: – Continental breakfast is included in the tariff and is available in the dining room at a time to suit you. Arrangements can be made if you require an early breakfast. A cooked breakfast is available on request. Home made baking, tea, herbal, and coffee making facilities are available at all times. The fridge is for your convenience to store food etc as needed.

Lunch: – Packed lunches/picnic hampers available on request.

Dinner: – Evening dining a speciality. You are welcome to bring guests and friends for meals as we cater for private dining. Fresh produce from the vegetable garden utilised for ensured freshness.

Platters: – Ante pasta platters available.

Weddings: – We also cater for weddings and can provide photography.

Laundry: – Laundry service is available, at a minimal charge.

Babysitting: – Babysitting can be arranged if required.

Guests come as strangers and leave as friends, and we are confident that your stay will be memorable.
