Neroli Nolan welcomes you to Collyer House on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand. Collyer House offers bed and breakfast accommodation in Haast.
Collyer House was designed and purpose-built to offer four quality en suite guest rooms, affording magnificent views of the Okuru River and the Tasman Sea. The only audible sounds at our bed and breakfast on the West Coast are native birds and the pounding of the ocean.
Neroli, the fourth generation of a pioneering family, travelled extensively and enjoyed many interesting vocations before returning home to build Collyer House.
Neroli now enjoys sharing with guests her knowledge and the history of Westland, including the Fox Glacier and the Franz Josef Glacier regions of New Zealand.
Our bed and breakfast on the West Coast is nestled against native bush and each room has French doors opening onto a veranda. All rooms share the breathtaking view of the Okuru River, Tasman Sea and Open Bay Island.
The rooms have been tastefully furnished using antiques and quality linen and offer the utmost in comfort and relaxation.
The guest lounge in our accommodation in Haast offers a great place to relax and mingle with other guests in front of a huge stone fireplace or around a country-style kitchen table, a great place to meet locals when they pop in to visit. There is a separate lounge for relaxation.
Dining and dinner are available by arrangement and a hearty cooked breakfast is included in the tariff.
Facilities of our bed and breakfast on the West Coast include:

Trout Fishing - The Haast is vast region of wilderness, lakes and rivers. New Zealand's Fish and Game West Coast region extends 800 kilometres from Kahurangi Point to Awarua Point.
In this region is many fishing opportunities, as well as a large diversity in the angling possibilities.
Brown trout on the West Coast occupy a diverse range of habitats from headwater tributaries to the estuarine portion of river mouths. There are many scenic lakes and spring fed river tributaries which offer fishing opportunities. Barriers to angler access are, for the most part, dictated only by climate and terrain.
