The history of our boutique hotel in Christchurch goes back to the foundation of the city of Christchurch and spans three centuries. It was owned by several of the early leaders of Christchurch.

When the city of Christchurch was established in the mid 1850s Bealey Avenue formed the north town belt of the city. The house was restored in 1981 and opened as a bed and breakfast hotel and function centre.

The heritage of the house is recognised through its Category 2 classification from the New Zealand Historic Places Trust.
