When the city of Christchurch was established in the mid 1850s Bealey Avenue formed the north town belt of the city. The house was restored in 1981 and opened as a bed and breakfast hotel and function centre.

The heritage of the house is recognised through its Category 2 classification from the New Zealand Historic Places Trust.

Eliza's Manor on Bealey is situated at 82 Bealey Avenue on the northern boundary of the Central Business District of Christchurch City and a 1500 metres, fifteen minute walk, from the city centre and the Christchurch Cathedral.

We are approximately 10 kilometres from the Christchurch International Airport and seven kilometres from the Christchurch Railway Station.
