Our luxury accommodation in Russell is blessed with views across both the Pacific Ocean and the Bay of Islands in which Russell nestles. Cloud 9 is located on a stretch of private road and benefits from beautiful natural bush surroundings.

There are panoramic, unobstructed views of the coast, the land, the ocean and Long Beach (one of the best surf beaches in New Zealand) from our luxury accommodation in Russell.

From this privileged vantage point, the crashing waves can be seen and heard some 100 metres below, while at night kiwis can be heard foraging in the bush.

Bay of Islands Accommodation

Our luxury accommodation in Russell can sleep eight people in three double bedrooms and one twin bedroom. Two of the double bedrooms at our Bay of Islands accommodation have en suite double-shower rooms; the other shares a private shower and bathroom with the twin bedroom. All bathrooms have double basins.

There is a large open-plan living area at our luxury accommodation in Russell that is fully equipped and furnished to the highest standards. State-of-the-art entertainment systems including plasma television, wireless Internet and Sky TV are integrated into the house.

The north facing position of our Bay of Islands accommodation is not overlooked and thus affords the utmost privacy. Surrounded on three sides by cedar decking and terracing, the stunning sea and coastal views can be enjoyed from sunrise to sunset, whether from the lounging decks or from the pool and barbecue areas.

Location of our Bay of Islands Accommodation

Our luxury accommodation in Russell is a three-hour drive north of Auckland. There are regular flights connecting the rest of New Zealand to Kerikeri and from there it's just a 30-minute drive to Russell.

The Bay of Islands is a great holiday destination – you can relax on the stunning white sand beaches, day trip to the little islands off the coast or have a look around the regions wineries.

The Russell, Bay of Islands Area

Russell was the first capital of New Zealand and lies across the Bay from Waitangi where the famous treaty was signed with the Maori in the 18th Century.

Nowadays Russell remains a peaceful waterfront village, approached either by a five-minute car ferry from Opua or the passenger ferry from Paihia.

Russell is sub-tropical with summer temperatures into the 30°C's, winter temperatures only fall to around 9°C or 10°C.

The Bay of Islands has some of the best game fishing, sailing and diving in the world. Several famous golf courses are situated nearby. There are a number of excellent restaurants in the town itself and others within easy reach of Russell.
