The Clark Collection's luxury accommodation in New Zealand comprises four properties: two in the country and two in the city. Each of our New Zealand vacation homes is unique and in a spectacular location.

The country properties are designed and furnished for a more relaxing and unwinding experience while the city properties are centrally located in two of New Zealand's key cities: Christchurch—gateway to the South Island and Wellington—the nation's capital.

Each property is available on a sole-occupancy basis with a two night minimum stay. Tariff includes a first morning breakfast basket. Daily housekeeping and private catering can be organized at an additional charge. (Cranmer includes housekeeping in the Tariff)

The Retreat – Lake Taupo

The Retreat is situated on the edge of Lake Taupo, at the centre of the North Island. The small collection of cedar chalets sit at the entrance of the lake and the mighty Waikato River, and each offers accommodation for four people.

The private and secure setting in several acres of lawns and gardens provides a base for enjoying a wonderful array of sporting and recreational activities.

Features of The Retreat – The two storey cedar chalets comprise two double bedrooms upstairs, each with its own modern en suite bathroom. The open plan living area, balcony, dining room and kitchen provide panoramic lake and river views. The ground floor includes a fully equipped laundry, washroom and lavatory.

A hot-pool house with two spa pools, plunge pool and trout smoker form part of the entertainment and recreation facilities.

The Ranch – Kapiti Coast

The Maungakotukutuku Ranch is a 65 acre estate with accommodation for eight people, 45 minutes from Wellington.

It sits high above the Kapiti Coast looking westward to Kapiti Island, an important native bird sanctuary. Magnificent coastal views stretch from the top of the South Island to the slopes of Mt Taranaki.

A large ranch style house that offers a wide range of on-site facilities including swimming pool, spa pool, golf hole and tennis court.

The house is only ten minutes from two golf courses, the Kapiti Coast beaches, Southward Car Museum, quality local food producers, many outdoor adventures and the Tararua National Park.

Features of The Ranch – Offering accommodation for eight people, the house has expansive open living with spectacular ocean and landscape views. Two spacious living areas with stone fireplace open to a large deck. The dining area with its 18th century French provincial dining table seats twelve and adjoins a modern well-equipped kitchen.

The Ranch offers a range of on-site recreational activities including a golf green for putting and chipping practice, swimming pool, spa pool, tennis court, games area and two BBQs, one gas and one wood-fired which adjoins the swimming pool.

Palliser House – Wellington

Palliser House is an historic 1904 villa with accommodation for up to six people. Located above Oriental Bay with superb panoramic views of Wellington Harbour and the capital city, it is only four minutes by car from the heart of Wellington.

The Villa adjoins the City's green belt and is an ideal location to base yourself for a visit to New Zealand's cultural and political capital.

Features of Palliser – This restored 1904 Victorian Villa showcases superb native timbers and many original design features. Situated in an acre of native garden, access is down a walkway and steps. Native birds, superb sculpture, tranquility, privacy and security and spectacular vistas can be enjoyed.

Palliser House accommodation and entertainment facilities are laid out on one level. Open plan modern kitchen and dining room with seating for ten people.

The sitting room, with Victorian fireplace, adjoins an enclosed balcony with panoramic views over the City and its harbour.

Cranmer – Christchurch

Covering three floors of a superb 1870s historic stone townhouse, Cranmer can comfortably accommodate up to six people in absolute luxury and sophistication.

This heritage listed property includes generous entertaining and dining areas, private courtyard gardens, an outdoor swimming pool for summer use, a second kitchen and second dining room as well as separate entrance for staff or security personnel.

Features of Cranmer – On the ground floor, the main entrance leads through a large stone entrance and reception hall into a 40 foot Great Chamber on one side and formal dining room on the other.

The Great Chamber contains comfortable couches, sound system, and a collection of fine and decorative arts. The fully equipped ground floor kitchen services these areas.
