Our Marlborough luxury accommodation has been designed according to the principles of Feng Shui, with the presence and sound of running water, at the front gate and in the heart of the Lodge, creating peace and harmony.

The décor is classic, subtle and relaxing allowing the dramatic views outside to shine. Each room has quality appointments. All suites are individually air-conditioned.

The Pelorus Suite – Our premier suite has a king-size French cherrywood sledge bed and bedroom furniture all by Brigitte Forestier, fine Egyptian cotton sheets, warm goose down duvets, walk-in wardrobe, mini bar and refreshment centre.

The spacious bathroom features quality Hansgrohe German fittings, spa bath and separate shower. There is also a private cedar lined Finnish sauna. The outlook is stupendous with unobstructed views over native forest and the Pelorus Estuary.

The Rewarewa Suite – This cosy, romantic suite has a queen-size iron bedstead with fine Egyptian cotton sheets and soft, warm goose down duvets, mini bar and refreshment centre.

The spacious bathroom features quality Hansgrohe German fittings, spa bath and separate shower.

The Forest Suite – The Forest Suite features the very latest in modern health spa technology the "Evora" ultimate hydrotherapy deep tissue rotary massage spa, delivering deep tissue massage to relieve muscle tension and stress.

This suite also features a super Californian king-size bed, fine Egyptian cotton sheets and soft, warm goose down duvets, mini bar and refreshment centre.

The spacious bathroom features quality Hansgrohe German fittings, the two person "Evora" spa (as described above) and separate shower.

The Forest Suite also has direct access to private exterior courtyard with table seating amongst a peaceful native bush setting and views to the estuary beyond.

Activities at our Exclusive Marlborough Lodge

The nearby marina is the starting point for a host of adventures in the Pelorus Sound, a scenic, sheltered inland waterway where historic bridle tracks and old gold mines can be explored and of course fresh fish can be caught.

Pelorus Lodge guests can enjoy this unspoilt wilderness area with a courtesy five hour cruise on our classic launch, Lady Karita, or guided sea fishing trips can be arranged.

Rainbow and brown trout are plentiful in the rivers in the area and guided trout fishing expeditions can be arranged, as can hunting expeditions in the hills where wild deer and pigs roam.

Within 20 minutes of the Lodge, there is the beauty of the Pelorus Nature Reserve, kayaking, gold panning, bush walks and exploring.

Last but not least, the Wairau Plains are just 15 minutes away. Here, a combination of hot summers, cool autumns, alluvial soils and innovation add magical flavours to the grape and many international awards and accolades bear witness to this.

Marlborough's world class wines can be sampled at the cellar door and wine and food can be enjoyed at vineyard restaurants. Courtesy transport to wine trails also can be arranged from the lodge.
