Built in 2000, the homestead is modern yet elegant. The double or twin rooms at our luxury vineyard accommodation on Waiheke Island include large sumptuous beds, quality furnishings and linen, private en suite, wireless broadband Internet connection for notebooks, Sky TV, and a long list of extras including bath robes, selection of current magazines, fresh fruit, and more.

An additional bed or cot is available on request.

Relax beside, or in, the pool, enjoy peace and tranquility listening to the birds and soaking up the Waiheke sunshine. The spa pool at our boutique accommodation on Waiheke Island is the perfect place to unwind and watch the spectacular sunsets over the bay.

Waiheke Island Boutique Accommodation Location

The estate includes a boutique vineyard, an olive grove, a small citrus and stone fruit orchard, berry gardens, vegetable gardens and flower gardens.

We use fresh organic produce from our gardens in the guest rooms and for our guest's breakfasts. We also use flowers from the garden and roses from the vineyard in our guest rooms.

We delight in giving guests private tours of our vineyard. The vineyard comprises mostly Syrah vines, along with 1000 Pinot Gris and Flora vines. Our focus is on growing the best possible grapes to produce high quality wines unique to this special location.

It is, of course, just a short stroll to the beach below the estate and there are also some beautiful short coastal walks which start at Owhanake Bay.

About Owhanake Bay and Waiheke Island

Waiheke Island is 35 minutes by fast ferry from downtown Auckland. Owhanake Bay Estate is two minutes' drive from Waiheke's main ferry terminal at Matiatia. We offer guests a complimentary pick up and return to the Matiatia ferry terminal. Or you can arrive by helicopter, landing on our helipad just behind the homestead.

Owhanake Bay is a quiet sheltered bay facing north-west. The beach in front of the estate is a short stroll over a grassy reserve. It is the ideal location to begin a guided kayaking tour or an exclusive yacht charter.

Oneroa Village is a comfortable walk, or one-minute by car, from Owhanake Bay Estate and provides cafes, restaurants, a post office, shops selling local art and crafts, banks and more. Below the village is sandy Oneroa Beach.
