About our Wanaka Exclusive Accommodation

Our five-star Wanaka luxury holiday lodge—Zingara—is designed with eco-friendly thermo-mass construction to be warm in winter and cool in summer. Zingara is set in 50 acres of vineyard and pasture, and is just five minutes from the centre of Wanaka.

Zingara offers guests a luxury complex for their exclusive use. All our rooms have spectacular views of the mountains with a vista from the Cardrona valley in the south to Mount Maude to the north. Black peak and Mount Avalanche dominate the western view.

Fitted throughout with dramatic Italian lighting, tribal rugs which theme each room and artwork, the lodge has that 'special' ambience which is its own.

Constructed of exposed river shingle aggregate with a copper roof, it has been designed to reflect the changing colours, the moods, and the light of the Central Otago landscape.

Birdlife abounds in the surrounds and the celestial viewing at night from the upper decks is magical.

The grounds of this Wanaka exclusive accommodation have been planted for sense and smell with organic herbs, olives and nut trees. Take the time out, away from the stresses and pressures of everyday life to come and share with us the awe inspiring scenery, delicious food and fine wines.

Our boutique garden vineyard specialises in Pinot Noir and Riesling with our 2008 vintage available to guests, planted on loamy river terrace soil to give each harvest a unique depth and character balanced with an intensity of flavour.

Zingara has five super-king size (split twin) guest suites, all with en suites. All feature under-floor heating, flat-screen TV, modem port, digital telephone, alarm clock hairdryer, aromatherapy toiletries and terry cloth robes. French doors lead to outside balconies or the courtyard.

The Coriander Suite – Magnificent views to the north and west from two balconies. The en suite has a glass brick shower, claw foot bath, toilet bidet, Italian terrazzo vanity and Italian glass basin.

The Lavender and Rosemary Suites – Views to the north looking across the vineyard from the balcony. The en suite has a shower and shub, toilet, Italian terrazzo vanity and Italian glass basin.

The Sage and Thyme Suites – Located on the ground floor with views to the north. Looking across the vineyard, with French doors leading into the courtyard. En suite with shower, toilet, Italian terrazzo vanity and Italian glass basin.
