Woodstock's Cottage offers Rotorua farmstay accommodation in a 1650 square foot luxury home, with a two-car garage. Newly built, our farmstay in Rotorua has won the top 3 Gold Awards in the Master Builders Awards for the Bay of Plenty region in New Zealand.

Every room, except for the laundry and bathrooms, has an unobstructed view of the hills and livestock all the way down to the beautiful and historical Green Lake, which is also known as Lake Rotokakahi.

Our Rotorua farmstay accommodation is heated throughout for your comfort, with a thermostatically controlled under floor hot water heating system.

The main living area includes a large living room, complete with a wood-burning fireplace, comfortable seating, TV, stereo, and DVD player.

The kitchen is well equipped to please any culinary artist. There is an electric stove, oven, microwave and a large dishwasher. The dining area is adjacent to the kitchen and the living room to allow for an open entertainment area.

Our Rotorua Farmstay Accommodation

Privately located down the hallway are two queen bedrooms, each with an adjacent bathroom. There is a king-size bed in the master bedroom, with a large adjoining walk-in closet, an en suite with a large shower, and a bath overlooking the lake.

All bedrooms have a TV available. There is a large washer and dryer plus a built in ironing board in the laundry. The house is completely outfitted with top quality linen, including beach towels for use at the lake.

Enjoy the use of two decks. One large deck extends the full length of the house and is accessible from all rooms. Another patio adjacent to the kitchen and dining area is well equipped for your entertaining and barbecuing pleasure.

Activities

With unlimited things to do both on and off the farm, you are your own boss at our farmstay in Rotorua.

Walks and hikes for all levels of fitness. There's a beautiful walk down to the lake, from where a number of options are available:

• around the lake through the native forest
• through the fields and back up to the house
• hike up the hills to the water reservoir for a majestic panoramic view

Mountain bike through the adjacent forest with bike trails, ranging from sedate to challenging, that cover thousands of acres. Woodstock's Cottage has two well maintained mountain bikes and equipment.

Swimming in the lake is quite simply, paradise. It's very private and a refreshing way to spend your time.

Farming can be experienced by venturing across the fields to the stockyards. Experience hands-on farming in the shearing shed.

Rotorua, the tourist capital of New Zealand, is just a short drive away and the tourist information centre is excellent. This entire area is world famous for thermal activity, extinct volcanoes, Maori heritage, several beautiful lakes, plus golfing, trout fishing, boating, biking, hiking, horse trekking and excellent restaurants.

Back at the cottage, a croquet set, a swingball game and several indoor games are available for your use.
