Features of Our Lake Tekapo Vacation Homes

Your stay starts at Tekapo House where you meet Jenny and Peter who will give you the house key.

You will be given a free map showing directions to your house and the amenities available in the village. If necessary we can even escort you to the house and help you settle in.

We provide sheets and towels for your stay. The house will be cleaned prior to your arrival and after your departure.

The cost for a house ranges from NZ$130 to NZ$200 per night for a couple, depending on the type of accommodation and length of stay.

The cost per night for per additional adult is NZ$15 and NZ$10 per child. A discount is sometimes available if your stay is for several nights.

All houses are within easy walking distance to the village.

Activities near our Lake Tekapo Vacation Homes

Lake Tekapo has plenty of activities to offer for all the year round.

During the summer months the lake is popular for water-sking, fishing and kayaking.

The surrounding area provides lots of walks and hikes for all ranges of fitness.

The Mount Cook national park is just over an hours drive away and has a good variety of hikes. Lake Tekapo has an airfield that operates sight-seeing flight and operators can take you directly from your accommodation.

The ski season starts in late June and lasts until early October. We have three ski fields easy distance from the village, Round Hill, 20 minutes drive, Dobson 40 minutes, and Lake Ohau one hr 30 minutes.

The village has a mini golf course which uses the Mackenzie country for it's theme. Just south of the village on the road to Twizel there is nine hole golf course.
