The primary focus of this Dunedin hotel resort is to provide a unique experience for both domestic and international visitors. Thalassotherapy employs specially designed equipment and pools, to utilise the beneicial trace elements found in seawater for the rejuvenation of the body and mind.
Through the treatment of the skin, muscles and body generally, it promotes fitness, health and general wellbeing.
Thalassotherapy was established in the 19th Century and enhanced by the French to become a very popular and effective form of hydrotherapy treatment, particularly in Europe.
Stage two of the development will comprise additional hotel room capacity and further thalassotherapy facilities, providing an enhanced and expanded resort, able to cater to larger groups.

Dunedin, is the South Island's second-largest city and the commercial centre for the Otago region. Its name is old Gaelic for Edinburgh—appropriate since the city was established by Scottish Presbyterians.
