Waimana Point Introduction

Opened in November 2005, Waimana Point is our Warkworth luxury lodge situated on a 17-acre, stunning secluded point, featuring panoramic sea views over Kawau Bay.

Our Warkworth luxury lodge accommodation is just one hour North of Auckland and 15 minutes from Warkworth on New Zealand's beautiful East Coast with a rural backdrop in the heart of the Matakana Wine Country.

The design brief was to make the best possible use of the views with the aid of local craftsmen, materials and fittings. Waimana Point endeavours to give you the best this region has to offer.

Architecturally designed, our Warkworth lodge is beautifully appointed and built to include uninterrupted panoramic views from each part of the building.

It is especially unique in it's seclusion, offering a perfect escape for pure relaxation, uninterrupted retreats or the romance of a special occasion or anniversary. Whether it is dawn, dusk or midday you will know this is a special piece of New Zealand.

The owners have endeavoured to offer many activities which will make your time in our wonderful district a very memorable occasion whether for business, pleasure or romance.

Warkworth Luxury Lodge Accommodation

The four suites at our Warkworth accommodation are located on a lower level of the main lodge building. All have kitchenettes giving greater dining options for guests. Three suites, the Kowhai, Nikau and Puriri, have super king/twin beds and en suites. The fourth suite, Pohutakawa, has two bedrooms both with super king/twin beds and a shared bathroom.

All suites are luxuriously appointed with fine linen, cane furniture and have underfloor heating and ceiling fans for your comfort. Guests have views to both the north and east and their own patio areas leading out to the garden and private walkways over property and to the beach.

Each suite luxury Warkworth lodge is fully entertainment and business integrated, with LCD TV's DVD's, stereo sound system and Sky TV.

The spacious guest lounge with wood burner fire over looks an extensive outdoor patio. These areas are located on the main level next to a twenty meter indoor heated swimming pool and small gym. This lounge is fully equipped for small business conferences and ideal for smaller functions. Outdoor baths and sauna are located on their own private deck amongst trees. There are ample hideaways on the property for quietness, privacy and seclusion. There is private access to the beach for your water activities.

On site activities include – Kayaking, dinghy sailing and fishing. More extensive fishing, helifishing and sightseeing trips can be arranged.

Warkworth Luxury Lodge Cuisine

Breakfast – Your suite is provisioned with fresh breakfast supplies – including fresh fruit, homemade muesli, cereal, yoghurt, breads and free range eggs, bacon and specialty sausages. Enjoy your breakfast at leisure in the privacy of your own suite or on your patio.

Dinner – Guests can choose to dine in or visit one of the excellent restaurants and cafes in the Warkworth and Matakana areas, including:

• Rusty Pelican

For guests who wish to dine in, we offer the following options:

• You may choose to self cater in your own suite
• Beside the guest lounge is an all weather covered BBQ patio. You are welcome to supply and cook your own food.
• By prior arrangement we offer a two course dinner served as a platter in your suite or on your patio @ $45pp. Available Monday to Friday.

At Waimana Point we aspire to use as much local produce as is seasonably available.

Warkworth Luxury Lodge Location

Waimana Point is situated on the north eastern side of the beautiful Mahurangi peninsula in the heart of “Matakana Coast Wine Country”.

From the lodge your view is over the sparkling waters of Kawau bay to Kawau island in the east, and the Tawharanui peninsula to the north.

This area is only now being discovered for its recreational potential and ranks as a mini Bay of Islands with the added advantage of its close proximity to Auckland.

Warkworth Luxury Lodge Small Functions

If you're looking for a private, secluded venue for a small function—family celebration, get together with friends, corporate retreat or team building exercise, Waimana Point lodge is an easy one hour drive from Auckland city.

Our Warkworth luxury lodge offers a spacious guest lounge with audio and visual equipment capable of video conferencing, laptop ready for multimedia and PowerPoint, DVD, and a 42 inch plasma TV.

The lodge can provide luxury accommodation in Warkworth for a small group, accommodating up to seven guests in their own suites/bedrooms, and ten guests on a shared twin basis.

A range of dining options can be provided to suit your function requirements—from cooking your own BBQ, through to a formal dinner prepared by two chefs who come to Waimana Point lodge for special occasions.
