Timara Lodge is our luxury Marlborough guest house promising a haven of peace, quiet and relaxation. New Zealand-owned and operated it is one of the country's most luxurious and private lodges. Situated in the province of Marlborough, well known around the world for its wines and gourmet foods.
Our Blenheim lodge accommodation is set amongst 600 acres of land, including 25 acres of one of New Zealand's most beautiful English-style gardens and a five-acre, man-made lake. Adjoining the gardens is the 350-acre Spy Valley vineyard and winery.
Lake Suite – As the name suggests, the Lake Suite overlooks the private man-made lake at our luxury Marlborough guest house. Located at the corner of the house, the room is decorated in yellow and white regency striped wallpaper and furnishings with accents of deep claret reds reflecting in the Sanderson curtains.
The Lake Suite is the largest of all the rooms and has the feel of an English country house. It has a sitting room and private en suite. Furnished with a Regency chest of drawers, a Victorian dressing table and chair, and a large wardrobe, the room can be made up with either a king-size bed or twin beds.
Garden Suite – Out of all the rooms at our Blenheim lodge accommodation, the Garden Suite has the most panoramic of all the views and a charm enhanced by the bay window, which is the focus of the room.
Located at the front of the lodge, the Garden Suite enjoys views of the tennis court, swimming pool, the gardens and the lake. The room is furnished with a king-size bed and two comfortable chairs set by the bay window. The Garden Room has a small sitting area with private bathroom, including a shower. The decor is terracotta-striped wallpaper and William Morris honeysuckle curtains.
Mountain Room – Although the bedroom itself is the smallest of all the four rooms, it is often preferred in our Blenheim lodge accommodation for its seclusion and privacy as it has its own little entrance hall. Often referred to as the honeymoon suite, the Mountain Room is located on the western side of the house.
The room has recently been enlarged with the installation of a romantic bay window overlooking the private parkland with the Richmond Ranges in the distance. Capturing the afternoon sun, the room has a comfortable queen-size bed.
Balcony Room – Once used as an open veranda, this room has many windows, giving the room a particularly generous and spacious feel. Located at the front of our luxury Marlborough guest house, the room captures the sun throughout the day.
The room can be made up with either a king-size bed or twin beds and has its own en suite. Decorated in off-white with hints of subdued green and rose, the Balcony Room offers expansive views of the tennis court, swimming pool and gardens, and has side views of the lake and private park.
