Brinkley Resort is a High Country apartment-style resort nestled into the foothills of majestic Mt Hutt and only minutes from Methven's town centre.

Our Methven apartments are surrounded by the perfect mixture of nature with a range of exhilarating recreational and pleasure activities, making this the ideal getaway for both the holidaymaker and business person alike.

Our lodge accommodation at Mt Hutt is an accommodation resort and conference centre situated in the township of Methven in Mid Canterbury, in the heartland New Zealand. We feature a total of 80 self-contained apartments, all with spa baths.

Once you arrive, there is no need to leave with our award winning restaurant and licensed bar, spa pools, floodlit tennis court, two chip and putt golf greens and a children's playground. You can even fly directly from our exclusive helipad at the resort to Mt Hutt.

Luxury Methven Apartments

Located a three-minute stroll from the centre of Methven, our luxury Methven apartments are surrounded by landscaped gardens and includes a wide range of resort facilities.

Our hallmarks are quality, comfort and value for money, which we have combined with our own special hospitality to give the Brinkley brand an international reputation.

40 Two-Bedroom Apartments – One bedroom with a queen-size bed and the other with two single beds. There is an open plan lounge, dining and kitchen with full kitchen facilities including a microwave, plus cable TV and Internet access.

These quality two-bedroom apartments all have a spa bath and shower and separate toilet, they share a full laundry and most have superb views of the mountains.

40 Studio Rooms – 30 have one queen-size bed and the other 10 have two single beds. All studio rooms have limited kitchen facilities including a ceramic cooktop, shower, TV and they share a laundry.

Our studio rooms sleep one or two people, while the two-bedroom apartments sleep two to four. For larger groups we can make a three-bedroom apartment by interconnecting a studio and two-bedroom apartment, accommodating up to six people. Our units are available for both short and long-term and prices are seasonal, with higher rates in the June to October ski season.

Our stunning gardens and the unbeatable backdrop of the Southern Alps at our luxury apartments in Methven ensure that we are well known as one of Canterbury's leading venues for weddings and conferences.

We can also cater for training seminars, product launches, wedding anniversaries and family reunions. Any corporate function or social celebration can be enjoyed here, but weddings and conferences are our speciality.

Our modern convention centre hosts from 10 to 200 delegates with state-of-the-art technical equipment, full in-house conference support, on-site catering and only one hour away from Christchurch airport.

Our conference facility is designed to achieve results supporting up to 120 delegates boardroom-style, 150 theatre-style or our centre can be or subdivided into three separate rooms with the use of sound-proof partitions.

Restaurant and Bar at our Luxury Methven Apartments

Our new bar and renovated restaurant—Shackletons Bar & Grill is now open.

Named after the quintessential Edwardian Antarctic explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton, Shackletons Bar & Grill has wonderful mountain views from every table in the restaurant, private bar area, and a newly completed river rock fireplace.
