Dock Bay Lodge Introduction

Welcome to Dock Bay Lodge in Fiordland. Our bed and breakfast in Te Anau is purpose built for the discerning traveller and is situated on 12 acres with magnificent views.

The garden area at our bed and breakfast in Te Anau, Fiordland, merges with the 11th fairway of the Te Anau golf course, and complimentary golf clubs are provided for your leisure.

Our Fiordland Accommodation

Five suites are available at our Te Anau bed and breakfast, three with super-king beds and two with king-size beds plus a separate lounge. All have private balconies with unobstructed views over the golf course, Lake Te Anau and the mountains of Fiordland National Park towards Milford Sound.

Milford Suite – The Milford Suite is on the first floor in the north east wing. The balconies of the bedroom offer views east towards Mt Prospect and north over the golf course and Lake Te Anau towards the Milford Track.

It has a separate lounge with a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, an LCD television and DVD player, internet access plus an additional balcony.

Takitimu Suite – The Takitimu Suite has its own private lounge with a television and DVD player, and there is also a flat screen television in the bedroom.

There are tea and coffee making facilities plus a fridge and home made baking is supplied daily.

Luxmore Suite – The honeymoon suite. A large room with a super-king bed, the comfortable chairs are great to read a book in, or simply watch the day go by. With a flat-screen television and DVD player, you can enjoy our selection of DVDs whenever you like.

The large balcony offers unobstructed views over the golf course, the Kepler Track, Lake Te Anau and Fiordland National Park.

Kepler Suite – The Kepler Suite is a quiet and tranquil room and is an ideal place to unwind in luxury.

The room also provides a great view from the private balcony towards Lake Te Anau. There is an LCD television in the room plus tea and coffee making facilities with a fridge, and home made baking supplied daily.

Waiau Suite – our largest suite, this one is located on the ground floor and opens on to the main deck overlooking Lake Te Anau.

It has a luxury superking/twin split bed plus comfortable chairs and a dining suite. There is an internet connection plus a flatscreen television and DVD player, tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge.

Each suite at out Te Anau bed and breakfast has a king or super king luxurious bed, feather down duvets and pillows, flat screen television and DVD player, tea and coffee provisions, comfortable lounge chairs plus a granite-top writing table and chairs.

The en suites at our Fiordland accommodation are also granite and tile with large glass showers, heaters, hairdryers and under-floor heating, together with delightful toiletries and velour robes for your comfort.

The best base for exploring the Fiordland region is the attractive resort town of Te Anau. From here it is an easy two hours drive to Milford Sound and twenty minutes drive to Lake Manapouri and the start of a Doubtful Sound excursion. The road to Milford Sound is considered to be one of the world's finest alpine drives.
