Great Barrier Island Lodge Location
Tipi and Bob's sits right on the waterfront at Tryphena Harbour on the southern end of Great Barrier Island, minutes from shops and beaches, and boasting spectacular views.
Great Barrier Island lies in the pristine waters of the Hauraki Gulf about 90 kilometres northeast of Auckland, New Zealand. Known to the Maori as Aotea (White Cloud), the island is the largest of New Zealand's northern offshore islands, covering about 285 square kilometres (110 square miles).
Isolated and unspoilt, the island offers a superb natural landscape, rare native animals and plants and many well-preserved historic sites.
