Take a cruise through Queen Charlotte Sound to our Marlborough Sounds accommodation and be warmly greeted by a mermaid, a friendly dog and your welcoming hosts Rosie and Steve George. Enjoy the serenity and seclusion of your new surroundings and the ease of the friendly relaxed atmosphere.
Just a few metres up from the jetty, snuggled in stunning native bush sits our lodge accommodation in Marlborough, home of the Mermaid. The lodge consists of three levels, and all enjoy unspoilt views over the pristine waters of the bay.
The scent of fresh flowers, the aromas of home baking, candlelight dinners, twin baths snuggled into the native bush and a grotto with fireplace to simply sit and stargaze, add to the unique and romantic Craglee experience at our lodge accommodation in Marlborough.
Our resident chef prepares all meals with fresh local produce and ensures that fresh fruit and baking is available every day. Eat indoors or al fresco, from a choice of garden settings or decked areas.
During the evenings take a tranquil stroll through the tracks, softly illuminated by glowworms, or a bottle of wine up to the grotto for star gazing, or simply kick back and relax in our outdoor bath and enjoy nature's symphony.
Each queen-size en suite bedroom has a balcony and boasts stunning views of the sea, native bush and flower gardens. We cater for up to four couples at any one time.
All beds at our Marlborough Sounds accommodation have quality linen and beautiful hand-embroidered duvet and pillowcases. The added touch of electric blankets, bathrobes, hair dryers and New Zealand made soaps and shampoo give you the feeling of being pampered.
There is a separate area off the bedrooms where you can enjoy the library. The heart of our lodge accommodation in Marlborough is on the top level. A spacious open-plan room with wall to wall windows affords a stunning 180-degree panorama of our bay and native bush. This gives you the choice of socializing, a quiet game of chess, or immersing yourself in a good book.
A cosy fire place, piano, drums, excellent music, comfortable sofas, large balconies, and an outdoor bar, make it so easy to unwind and relax.
By night our Marlborough Sounds accommodation transforms into a romantic candlelit hideaway.

Jacqueline Rose Charters operates out of Craglee Lodge in the Bay of Many Coves, Queen Charlotte Sound, which is in the Marlborough region of the South Island of New Zealand.
If it is deep sea fishing for big groper you are after, or fishing the beautiful waters of the inner Sounds, we can cater for all your needs.
Hi, I am Steve George, your fully qualified skipper. My passion for fishing and local knowledge of the fishing grounds will give you an unforgettable day out on the water. No previous experience needed.
There are a wide range of fish species in and around the Sounds including: groper, blue cod, bass, gurnard, snapper, king fish, barracuda, sea perch, sharks, kahawai, john dory and tarakihi, just to name a few.
We have a late model Power Cat vessel set up for fishing and diving. It is fully equipped with all the safety equipment and electronics, and is fully approved by the Maritime Safety Authority.
Our charters include everything to ensure a great day out on the water: high quality fishing gear, bait, tackle, snacks, soft drinks, tea, and coffee. We can provide delicious lunches on request, with beer and wine also available.
Your “catch of the day” will be filleted, cleaned and bagged for you to take home. If you are our guests staying with us at Craglee Lodge, we are happy to prepare your fresh catch for you.
