Bluewater Lodge is our peaceful lakefront accommodation in Wanaka for busy people. Our waterfront lodge in Wanaka offers hosted bed and breakfast accommodation, non-hosted accommodation and exclusive single party bookings for those who like privacy.

Bluewater Lodge in Wanaka is accommodation for guests who like attention to detail, exclusivity, friendly hospitality and lake and mountain views that are good for the soul.

This recently completed luxury lakefront villa is situated in the Wanaka Township right on the shores of Lake Wanaka. There are stunning uninterrupted panoramic lake and mountain views.

This Wanaka lodge looks over the lake to Treble Cone ski field which is a magic sight at night in winter. There is direct access to a quiet beach.

Our Lakefront Accommodation in Wanaka

Our waterfront lodge in Wanaka offers boutique accommodation consisting of:

Master Suite – Majestic views of Lake Wanaka and the surrounding mountains from your own private balcony and private outdoor spa. The room has an en suite with macrocarpa shutters opening into the room, double basins, double shower, and exclusive natural toiletries.

Peninsula Suite – A downstairs suite with wheelchair access. This room has its own en suite with shower and exclusive natural toiletries. There is a king-size bed with fine linen and access to guest fridge, tea and coffee making facilities with home baking and chocolates.

Treble Cone Suite – A smaller upstairs bedroom with beautiful lake and mountain views. This room has a separate private bathroom with bath and shower, exclusive natural toiletries, the room also has a TV and radio.

Twin Room – Available only with exclusive use of the lodge. The room is upstairs with beautiful lake and mountain views. It has king-single beds with fine linen.

Facilities at our Lakefront Accommodation in Wanaka

At Bluewater Lodge you are welcome to make use of our library with internet access and books. Feel free to relax in the open-plan lounge and dining area with plasma television, Bose DVD and sound system and large double doors leading to two outdoor areas to enjoy the extensive lake and mountain views.

Share a glass of wine and some nibbles in the evenings with your hosts and fellow guests.

Dining – If you require you can enjoy casual dining with your hosts. Meals have a distinctly New Zealand flavour using local fresh produce. Dinner bookings to be made when booking accommodation.

Wine – We serve only local wine from Rippon Vineyard in Wanaka, and Chard Farm near Queenstown. Pre-dinner drinks are included in tariff served with nibbles and local cheeses.

We provide complimentary restaurant transfers to the many great local restaurants in Wanaka, which we can book for you. There are also full laundry facilities and two car garaging.

Regional Activities

There are many walks around the Wanaka area for everyone, from hard tramps to easy walks. The Rob Roy Glacier Walk in Mt Aspiring National Park is magnificent and well worth doing. The Diamond Lake track is another beautiful walk providing wonderful vistas of Lake Wanaka and Mt Aspiring, Treble Cone and Black Peak, we provide a day pack for guests tramping.

Wanaka Flightseeing provides flights to Milford Sound via the Mt. Aspiring National Park, an absolute must on a good day. It is only with flights from Wanaka that can you see the Mt. Aspiring National Park in all its glory.
