Abaco on Jervois Introduction

Abaco on Jervois offers quality accommodation located in the unique and trendy suburb of Ponsonby.

Just a short distance to downtown Auckland and on a relaxed but lively street full of cafes, shops and restaurants, our Ponsonby motel is a great place to stay for long or short stay corporates and national or worldwide travellers.

Take advantage of being close to the city without the downtown bustle.

Enjoy our comfortable studio or suite apartments with all amenities provided to ensure an enjoyable stay.

These include free internet (100 MegaBytes per day), free on-site parking, Sky TV and air-conditioning in every room.

There is a ramp at our Ponsonby accommodation that leads up to the main level rooms for people with prams or wheelchairs.

Ponsonby Motel Accommodation

Choose from the following options at our Ponsonby motel:

Executive Suite – Located on the middle and upper levels, these suites have a sitting area with TV, desk, internet access, a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, stove top, dishwasher and amenities.

The top floor executive suites at our Ponsonby motel have spa baths, while the middle floor have a slightly larger spa pool. All bathrooms have a shower and hairdryer.

All rooms have Queen size beds. We can also make up one of these rooms as a twin room (with two single beds).

Premium Suite – Located on the top level of our Ponsonby motel, these rooms are spacious and have the best views out to the harbour.

The suite features a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, stove top, dishwasher and amenities.

The suite also has a sitting area with 42" LCD TV (with SKY channels), desk and internet access. The bathroom has a shower and spa bath.

Standard Studio – Located on the ground level, these rooms at our Ponsonby motel have a small kitchenette which contains a sink, fridge and stove top with plates, cutlery, toaster and kettle provided. There is a bathroom with shower and the bedroom features a King size bed.

These rooms also have internet access, a TV and parking spot out the front of the room is available.

Executive Studio – Smaller in size than our suites, these rooms do not have a sitting area but do have a desk with internet access, TV with SKY channels, bathroom with shower and spa bath, kitchenette with fridge, microwave, stove top, dishwasher and amenities.

One of these rooms can be made as a twin room (two single beds).

The Ponsonby Area

Ponsonby is not only renowned for its friendly atmosphere, trendy cafes, bars and shops but also for its key location within Auckland city.

This is ideal for our corporate and travelling guests requiring stress free access to business and tourism sectors. The city link bus is an easy and quick form of transport taking you around a circuit of the city with bus stops located just five minutes walk from our accommodation premises.

Along our street and Ponsonby Road (five minute walk away) you will find boutique shops, restaurants, cafes, banks, post offices, real estate agents, galleries, and more.

Ten minutes walk from Abaco will also bring you to some of Aucklands, quaint bays and beaches. Join the locals for a dip in the ocean or walk along the coast. The local pool is also located just five minutes walk away.

For those seeking the activities and nightlife of Auckland or those with plans to take a harbour cruise to visit hot spots such as Devonport or Waiheke Island, head down to the neighbouring Viaduct Harbour and Westhaven Marina, via bus, taxi or foot. Vector Arena is less than a ten minute taxi ride away.

For extra leisure activities, head to one of our nearby parks, or take the link bus and visit one of Aucklands excellent museums.

Auckland's universities are also a quick bus ride away.
