Walk along the beach littered with driftwood thrown up by the wild Tasman Sea and look down south to New Zealand's highest peak, majestic Mount Cook. Marvel at the snow capped southern Alps providing the backdrop to this picturesque town. Watch them turn pink with the glow from spectacular sunsets.

Internationally renowned area for artists and craftspeople, browse amongst the galleries and studios and take home a special memento of your stay. Plus lets not forget the talented local musicians who can be found playing most weeks in the pubs and hotels. Great if you enjoy country music or the blues.

When you stay and explore this area you quickly realise why it attracts and inspires so much talent.

Hokitika can also proudly boast its own adventure pursuits and outdoor activities. For the adventurous at heart or the family there are activities such as whitewater rafting, kayaking, heli-skiing, scenic flights, canoe or paddle boat cruise through pristine rainforest.

Hokitika is a small town but is big on choices – Hokitika is the gateway to the South Westland Heritage Park. As it is situated in the centre of the West Coast, the Airport Tudor Motor Lodge urge visitors to stay a while, to explore the local area, use it as a base for half or full day trips or a stop over point whilst travelling to other destinations.
