Welcome to our motel accommodation in Motueka—Abel Tasman Motel and Lodge.
We are located on High Street, Motueka, New Zealand, on a quiet back section, 300 metres from the main shopping centre and 15 kilometres from the start of the Abel Tasman National Park.
Motueka is situated 40 minutes drive from Nelson and is a perfect place to explore what this region of New Zealand has to offer.
We have superb wineries, potters, artists, golf courses, water sports, fishing, seafood, restaurants and cafés. Of course, our major tourist attraction is the Abel Tasman National Park but now we also have many people visiting to see some of the Lord of the Rings mountain range locations nearby.
We have two types of accommodation in Motueka: self-contained motel units, and en suite rooms in our lodge.

Only the West Coast has as many national parks as Nelson. Abel Tasman, New Zealand's smallest, is a coastal wonderland of sea, rocky headlands and bright golden beaches.
The Nelson Lakes National Park is set amidst the mountains and glaciated valleys of south Nelson, and features beech forests and the beautiful jewel-like lakes, Rotoiti and Rotoroa.
Kahurangi, the country's second-largest national park comprises 450,000 hectares of mostly upland wilderness, with magnificent three to four day hiking trails.
A range of adventure experiences is available including sea kayaking, whitewater rafting on the Buller River, tandem skydiving, four wheel drive motorbiking through native forest and hiking on some of the country's best-known tracks.
There's also a 35-kilometre, four wheel drive trip along Farewell Spit, caving under Marble Mountain, and skiing or snowboarding the Rainbow ski area.
