At Ascot on Fenton in Rotorua, Mike and Hilary pride themselves on practicing the old fashioned art of hospitality at their complex of 20 modern apartments situated just 400 metres from the very heart of Rotorua. All apartments have wireless high-speed broadband Internet access.

We have just finished a complete refurbishment of all our Rotorua motel units, which are well insulated and thermally heated to keep you and your family warm during the cooler months and cool in the hot summer months. Every unit is equipped with fans for your added personal summer time comfort.

Our modern complex is located just 400 metres from the start of the CBD, within very easy walking distance of all the shops, nearly 50 restaurants and a host of pleasant bars and cafes.

Ascot on Fenton Rotorua is directly opposite a large supermarket, butcher and liquor store for your convenience.

Executive Apartments – Each ground floor Executive Apartment has a separate lounge, with a single bed in the lounge as well as the double divan settee bed and are able to sleep up to five people.

These Apartments are furnished with superior fittings including a large LCD TV, DVD and CD player. There is a separate kitchen including twin ceramic hob stove top and microwave oven.

The separate bedroom is very spacious, well appointed and is complete with a Queen bed and electric blankets. Top quality linen and bedding makes sleeping in these apartments a pleasure. An additional 21-inch flat screen TV in the bedroom completes the pamper package.

Each apartment has a selection of discreet and subtle lighting options. Each executive apartment also has a well appointed bathroom with a double size shower and fabulous water pressure.

These apartments have their own private glass covered courtyard where you can lie back and relax, totally surrounded with beautiful hand painted murals on the walls and enjoy your own luxury freshwater hot spa pool complete with complimentary luxury bubble bath foam.

One-Bedroom Apartments – Each ground floor one-bedroom apartment has a separate lounge, with a double divan and settee bed and are able to sleep up to four people.

Ground Floor Access Apartments – These spacious wheelchair-friendly apartments are based on a one-bedroom apartment.

They feature a huge open plan bathroom with toilet, hand basin and shower as well as a queen and a single bed in the bedroom. These apartments are furnished with superior fittings including a large flat screen TV and CD player. There is a separate kitchen including ceramic stove top and microwave oven.

Two-Bedroom Apartments – We have the ability to offer our guests up to six two-bedroom apartments in a configuration to suit most families or groups, these range from a double apartment with two queen beds through to a large apartment with five beds in three sleeping areas capable of accommodating up to seven people. These apartments are a combination of a ground floor one-bedroom apartment and first floor studio apartment.

Studio Apartments – We have six first-floor studio apartments, which are similar to well appointed 'Hotel Rooms', with either a queen-size bed or a double and a single bed.

These studio apartments all have a large en suite bathroom complete with a single spa bath, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and a small microwave oven. As with any hotel room, these apartments are not equipped with facilities for cooking.

Parking Facilities – There is off street parking for each of our Apartments. There is also parking available for extra large vehicles, buses, or a car with a boat trailer, at the end of our complex.

About Rotorua

Rotorua is one of the original tourist destinations in New Zealand—it has been welcoming visitors for more than 200 years.

From the moment people arrive in Rotorua they know they're somewhere quite different. There is a scent of sulphur in the air.

At nearby geothermal hotspots, there are spouting geysers, boiling mud pools and warm geothermal springs. Silica terraces are naturally decorated with a kaleidoscope of colours.

Rotorua is the heartland of New Zealand Maori culture, and visitors have the opportunity to experience the warm spirit of Te Maori. Although most of the Maori population live in the urban areas, there are about 35 marae (meeting grounds) in the Rotorua district.
