Welcome to Cottage Mews Motel, one of Taupo's most charming motels. From the moment you arrive at our motel accommodation in Taupo, you'll feel at home in one of our self-contained studios or family units, each a little piece of the past—welcoming, roomy and relaxed.
Cottage Mews Motel is one of the only older-style motels in Taupo right beside the lake. We have our own pathway down to a safe swimming beach, and we are next to the Great Lake Walkway which runs from the Taupo town centre round the lakeshore to Five Mile Bay. Your family will love it here.
At Cottage Mews Motel, you will enjoy:
Family Unit – Each has a queen bed, toilet and handbasin, double whirlpool spa bath, TV and small patio upstairs. Downstairs, there are two single beds in the spacious living area, full kitchen (including oven), dining area and family bathroom, and a telephone and second TV. The private garden courtyard opens off the living area. Sleeps 4 to 6 guests.
Standard Studio – Each has a queen bed, kitchen facilities (including hot plates), double whirlpool spa bath, separate bathroom, telephone and TV, and private garden courtyard. Sleeps 2 to 3 guests.
Lakeview Studio – Downstairs, the studio has a queen bed, double whirlpool spa bath, TV and separate bathroom. Upstairs, the lounge offers views towards the southern end of Lake Taupo and the mountains of Tongariro National Park. Kitchen facilities include hotplates and a dining area. There is a telephone and a second TV. Lakeview studios have either a deck or a private garden courtyard with a gate to the beach. Sleeps 2 to 3 guests.
The Nook – This cosy room has everything you'll find in a standard studio, except hotplates for cooking. There's a microwave, a toaster, facilities to make a hot drink, a queen bed and double spa bath and a separate bathroom. The Nook has its own garden courtyard. Sleeps 2 guests.
You'll find Cottage Mews Motel on Lake Terrace in Two Mile Bay, about 800 metres south of the intersection of state highway 1 and state highway 5, to Napier. We are about three kilometres from the centre of Taupo.
