New Zealand Off-Road 4x4 Adventures

Our four-wheel-drive tours in Wellington will have you gasping for more. The adventures we can provide for you are:

Fern Valley – One hour, traverse rocky riverbeds, scramble along skidder tracks and splash through mud as you manoeuvre your bike amongst rata, rimu and cascading ferns in New Zealand's most accessible native bush. Experience the thrills and awesome beauty of our favourite track.

Mountain Top – One and a half hours, you will understand the inspiration behind the word “exhilaration” as you zap along the road then wind you way up 1,800 feet to the best view in Kapiti; while the ride on our four-wheel-drive tours in New Zealand may take your breath away, the view of Mt Taranaki, Mt Ruapehu and the South Island certainly will.

Valley View – Two hours, combines the above two trips adds a trail through farmland up to a ridge in the Akatarawa Ranges. The scenery constantly changes as you emerge from the bush to breathtaking views of Kapiti Island. Watch the ferry enter Tory Channel. Pick out Farewell Spit across Cook Strait. On a good day admire Mt Taranaki before returning to the bush for an exhilarating ride home.

Trail Blazing – Half day, blast the city out of your system in 18,000 hectares of native wilderness on our New Zealand off-road 4x4 adventure. While our shorter rides are tasty appetisers, our all-day four-wheel-drive tours in New Zealand are designed to satisfy those with an insatiable hunger for adventure as we explore the untamed terrain of the Akatarawa Ranges.

About the Wellington Region

The Capital of New Zealand, Wellington is a cultural centre - home to Te Papa, the ground-breaking interactive Museum of New Zealand, the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and national treasures such as the original Treaty of Waitangi and Katherine Mansfield's Birthplace.
