Situated right in Taupo Township, and only minutes from the town centre, Taupo Bungy jump draws both jumpers and spectators alike. To date over 100,000 visitors have jumped with us.

Our highly trained crew pride themselves in providing you with an exhilarating New Zealand bungy jump experience. Jump solo or tandem—the choice is yours. A maximum combined weight for tandem jump is 180 kilograms.

For those seeking the ultimate ground rush we specialise in water touches. If you're not into the wet look then go for a high and dry jump—either way the ground rush is awesome.

Also new is our “splash cam”. This is a first for bungy jumping in New Zealand. It is fitting that our Taupo bungy jump has introduced this new feature, as when you go bungy jumping in Taupo you'll be experiencing New Zealand's highest water touch. The new splash cam captures your water touch and complements our new digital photo system.

Show everyone you jumped … photos, videos, T-shirts and souvenirs are available as proof.

Taupo Bungy Jump Location

Situated minutes from Taupo's town centre, Taupo Bungy is convenient for those staying in the region or those just passing through. A comfortable 45-minute drive from Rotorua—Taupo Bungy is a fun place to visit on a day trip to Taupo.

About the Taupo Region

South of Rotorua, this region is centred on Lake Taupo, New Zealand's largest lake, 619 square kilometres, and the township of Taupo in the scenic heart of the North Island.

The region incorporates the southern part of the thermal belt that extends from White Island in the Bay of Plenty through Rotorua to Tongariro National Park. Hot springs appear in several places around the lake, which is actually a volcanic crater.

Just north of Taupo, near the Wairakei International Golf Course, underground steam has been harnessed for electricity generation. One of the few outlets from Lake Taupo is the mighty Waikato River, New Zealand's longest river, which gushes through a narrow chasm at the Huka Falls.

Lake Taupo, the Tongariro River and other inflowing streams have for a long-time had an international reputation for their rainbow trout fishery. Many people, however, just enjoy cruising, participating in the many water activities, or simply relaxing in one of the North Island's beauty spots.

More energetic activities are available too, such as horse treks, rafting, golfing, walking and of course bungy jumping.

The Wairakei International Golf Course is one of the country's premier courses and one of seven in the area. Turangi at the southern end of the lake is also another renowned trout fishing spot and the base for white-water rafting on the Tongariro River which flows into the lake.
