  • Tumu Tumu Toobing – Cave rafting for more adventurous people. Float, walk and swim through a spectacular cave under the light of glowworms. See some of the best stalactites and rock formations available.
  • Haggas Honking Holes – Full noise action! Do three abseils in waterfalls, rock climbing, grovelling, and more in a spectacular vace. Indiana Jones goes caving.
  • Lost World four hour 100 metre Abseil – New Zealand's longest Abseil (rappel) 100 metres—into the Lost World Cave secured by your guide who abseils alongside. Then ascend through another spectacular dry cavern to the surface. A more personal tour.
  • Lost World All Day Epic – Abseil 100 metres into the Lost World, then take the wet way out! Walk, swim and climb through massive vaults, with optional challenges and spectacular scenery. Includes lunch and dinner—The Ultimate!
  • St Benedicts Caverns – Because of the technical difficulties in accessing the cave and its relative remoteness, only a few hardy cavers have been able to enjoy it to date. Now after several years of preparation, Waitomo Adventures Ltd make it possible for ordinary people to experience and enjoy what truly must be one of New Zealand's special places.

The Waikato is the first region south of Greater Auckland. It features two spectacular landscapes—one above ground, the other below.

Hamilton is famous for its themed gardens, and its local zoo which has the largest free flight aviary in the Southern Hemisphere.

In the Waitomo area, south of Hamilton, there is a natural labyrinth to explore. Massive subterranean caverns are adorned with stalactites and stalagmites.

Visitors can glide through the caves on a water-borne barge and admire the beauty and deep silence of the cave where the glow-worms overhead give the effect of an underground sky.
