The Lodge offers comfortable double/twin share accommodation. Rooms have magnificent bush and river views with French doors opening out onto the balcony. Family and bunk rooms also available.
We serve delicious farmhouse cuisine presented as a generous buffet with something to suit every taste. Venison, Wild Game, Vegetarian and the Great Kiwi Barbecue.
Our licensed bar offers a selection of New Zealand wines and beers to compliment your meal. Awake to the birds singing and the choice of a continental or cooked breakfast. Enjoy your meals in the dining room or on the balcony overlooking the river.
For those canoeing the river, terraced grass areas are available for tenting at the campground. If camping is not for you, then the six berth cabin 'The Paddlers Rest' is a choice to consider which includes a gas cooker.

Bridge to Nowhere – Your guided tour of the highlights of the majestic Whanganui River will bring you to the Mungapurua Landing—gateway to the famous 'Bridge to Nowhere'.
Enjoy a tranquil 40 minute walk through native bush, hear Tuis and Bellbirds, and catch a glimpse of Woodpigeons or Goats. Bring a picnic lunch to have at the Bridge and enjoy tales from your guide of the historic Mangapurua Valley and its pioneering people.
A return walk to the boat and trip down the river to Pipiriki completes this unique experience.
Scenic Tours – Short trips available to Mangaio Gorge, Manganui-O-Te-Ao River, Kahura Landing. Experience Maori River culture in spectacular scenery with the Tieke Marae tour, Bridge to Nowhere Lodge tour, Matemateonga Walking Track or Mangapurua/Whakahoro Landings.
