Kaituna Waterfall – Kaituna Rafting Experience
Grade Five – "Kaituna" means eel food. The Kaituna boasts the highest commercially rafted waterfall (seven metres) in the world. In fact, there are three waterfalls among the 14 rapids; two smaller waterfalls to practice on before attacking the seven meter drop named Tutea Falls.
There is a great deal of Maori history—the area is renowned for the tribal wars of the past. Behind and around the waterfall exists caves used for the hiding of women and children, and later the burial ground of Chief Tutea. There are many maori myths and legends associated with this river known to the locals as Okere (waterfall).
The Kaituna River is situated at Okere Falls, between Rotorua (20 minutes drive) and Tauranga (45 minutes drive).
Trips: 9:00 am, 12:30 pm or 3:30 pm daily (flexibility for groups). Allow three hours in total.

Rangitaiki River Run – Rangitaiki River Experience
Grade Four – "Rangitaiki" means widening of the sky. If you are looking for a full-day adventure on the water, with loads of variety, then the Rangitaiki is the river for you.
You will experience 14 kilometres of thrilling rapids, time to enjoy the spectacular scenery, fun and laughter, followed by more thrilling rapids. The Rangitaiki River is situated half way between Rotorua and Taupo, at Murupara. A picnic style lunch is provided including hot and cold drinks.
Trips: 10:30 am pick up or 11:30 am meet at river daily (flexibility for groups). Allow six hours in total.

Wairoa River Experience
Grade Five – "Wairoa" means long water. The ultimate in rafting in the Bay of Plenty region, the Wairoa is a full on grade five river and is only open 26 days a year (most Sundays during Summer).
The water is released from the Ruahihi Power Station to allow the two-hour rafting experience of a lifetime. The scenery along the rock and tree lined gorge is as much a part of the trip as the exciting waterfalls and rapids.
The Wairoa River is situated between Matamata and Tauranga, at the base of the Kaimai Ranges. A picnic style lunch including cold drinks is also provided.
Trips: 10:00 am or 1:00 pm (meet at river). Allow six hours in total. Please contact us for transport options.

Kaituna Sledging Experience
Grade Three – Join our professional team for a sledging adventure you'll never forget!
Receive a door-to-door sledging (hydro speeding) experience on the upper and lower Kaituna River. The river is lake fed and therefore reasonably warm (unlike snow melt rivers) and is an extremely deep gorge meaning that there are very few rocks to negotiate.
Sledgers are in control of their own purpose-built sledge manoeuvred by flippers on their feet. Because of the two sections of river, our trips are tailored to the ability of a group. All customers view a slideshow of their experience before being returned home.
Trips: 9:00 am or 12:30 pm or 3:30 pm daily. Allow four hours in total.
