Our Whitewater Rafting in Rotorua

Wet 'n' Wild specialises in one-day trips on the Kaituna, Rangitaiki, Lower Rangitaiki and Wairoa rivers, and in multi-day rafting expeditions, that include a range of overnight to five day expeditions on the Motu and Upper and Lower Mohaka Rivers.

Depending on the trip, Wet 'n' Wild provides most aspects of your adventure including transport, rafting and camping equipment, experienced and professional rafting guides, excellent cooking skills, good humour, unlimited patience and excellent company. You provide swimming gear, towel, camping clothes, sun screen and the ability to scream occasionally and laugh frequently.

Wet 'n' Wild Adventure Packages

Paddle and Power Combo – Raft the "Mighty Kaituna", 14 drops in 45 minutes including the highest commercially rafted waterfall in the Southern Hemisphere.

Then explore 25 kilometres of stunning natural beauty of the picturesque Lower Kaituna at breathtaking high speeds on the Longridge Jetboat including legendary nose stands, tail spins and 360-degree Jet spins.

An upgrade to two hours rafting on the Rangitaiki River (grade 3-4) is available for an additional NZ$25.00.

Triple Tremble – This triple packed action adventure includes tree topping, aerobatic fun by Helicopter, then Raft the "Mighty Kaituna", 45 minutes of pure adrenalin whitewater rafting including a seven metre waterfall—the highest commercially rafted waterfall in the southern hemisphere. Then catch what you can of the stunning natural beauty of the Lower Kaituna as your Longridge Jetboat driver nose stands and tails spins at breathtakingly high speeds finishing with the legendary 360-degree spins.

Upgrade from 8 minutes to 15 minutes Helicopter time is available for an additional NZ$86. Upgrade to two hours rafting on the Rangitaiki (grade 3-4) is available for an additional NZ$25.

Paddle and Peddle Combo – Raft the highest commercially rafted waterfall in the Southern Hemisphere on the "Mighty Kaituna River", 45 minutes of pure adrenalin whitewater rafting, then experience some of the best mountain biking on the Planet with Planet Bike, while surrounded by the picturesque Whakarewarewa forest.

River Grades

	Grade 1	Very basic waters rafted for social value only.
	Grade 2	Basic water, small waves. Lower Kaituna + Longridge Jetboat Combo, Mohaka.
	Grade 3	One – two metre waves, maneuvering to negotiate the rapids is required. Rangitaiki, Motu, Mohaka, Clarence.
	Grade 4	Difficult rapids with precise and sequential maneuvering required. Rangitaiki, Motu, Mohaka.
	Grade 5	Very powerful rapids. Complex precise and powerful sequential maneuvering is required. Kaituna, Wairoa, Mohaka.
	Grade 6	Commercially unraftable.
