Our Tauranga swim with dolphins trips depart daily from the Mount Maunganui/Tauranga Bridge Marina, in our safe, stable and comfortable high-speed luxury 50-foot twin-hulled Catamaran.

Guardian is a very well appointed spacious vessel with rear access, and a huge foredeck viewing area so that everyone can see the dolphins riding the catamaran's double bow wave as we cruise the crystal clear blue waters of the Pacific Ocean in the Bay of Plenty.

Guardian has full facilities, W.C. and washroom, a licensed bar, tea, coffee and snacks. Cruise in comfort on our large couches indoors as well as outdoor seating on the lower level and upper large observation fly deck area.

During your trip you may also see pods of orcas, whales, turtles, seals, giant sunfish and other marine and bird life. Being lower to the water than most other boats, we can get you very, very close to the dolphins for the very best photographic opportunities where you can also often hear them communicating with each other.

Whenever possible, we free-swim with the dolphins or use our purpose built custom “fun bar” to gently tow you along behind the boat whilst dozens of dolphins glide below and around you.

As the Bay of Plenty and Tauranga area is home to the biggest New Zealand common dolphin population, your chances of swimming and viewing the pods are the best anywhere.

All our guides are genuine local marine naturalists with university degrees, are fully qualified Dive Masters, and share a deep love of all marine mammals, especially dolphins that frequent the ocean in the Bay area.

Both our current skippers Brandon and Rika are former tutors of marine studies at the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic in Tauranga, and are dive-master instructors.
