Remarkable Experience Introduction

Remarkable Experience's grand lady leads you on a journey of discovery into some of the cultural wonders of the region on our Queenstown bus tours. Our Queenstown scenic tours are aboard our 1937 Chevrolet bus, with a rich history of the early days in the Queenstown district.

Brought to New Zealand in 1942, our grand lady was taken to Kinloch at the head of Lake Wakatipu by steamer, SS Earnslaw. She was part of a fleet of six buses operated by Routeburn Valley Motors, one of the first tourist operators in the region.

For 25 years, she sat in a farm paddock deteriorating into such a state that a three metre bush grew through the top.

Lovingly restored over 900 hours, our grand lady has been kept in the Bryant family and has returned to the Queenstown region to show visitors the beautiful sights of the region.

And now our grand old lady has been joined by another, so we can provide even more scenic Queenstown bus tours for you.

Our Scenic Queenstown Bus Tours

The Remarkable Experience offers you Queenstown scenic tours that you won't forget!

Travelling with the unique, convertible top down you can enjoy an open-air view of the magnificent surroundings and alluring beauty of the region. Rich and golden, moody and blue or full of sunshine and glory, bright and crisp with snowy peaks on craggy mountaintops, each day and season offers a fresh new scene.

You have the opportunity to view fine art, carefully crafted and created by renowned artists of New Zealand in their personal galleries. Paintings of various styles and beautifully crafted wood sculptures are among the mediums.

Our Queenstown scenic tours complete a circuit from Queenstown, along rolling hills of the clear countryside and drive through the picturesque gold-mining town of Arrowtown. Visit the relics of a Chinese miners village, well preserved along the banks of the Arrow River.

Travelling on to our final stop you can enjoy and taste wines grown from grapes on-site and indulge in mouth-watering cuisine in the cosy gallery or al fresco. Wander around delightful grounds of terraced gardens and ponds over looking the beautiful Lake Hayes.

The journey winds back to Queenstown over the gold filled Shotover River, through pastures and around the mighty sleeping giant, Lake Wakatipu.

This coach tour in Queenstown shows you the untouched and picturesque views surrounding us. We welcome you and take pleasure in sharing our admiration and knowledge of some of the regions treasures.

Warm and friendly, your guide along this impressive journey will provide you with essential advice, such as the need for warm clothing during your journey in the cooler months.

Our grand lady has twenty spacious seats available each morning and afternoon and is available for charter.
