Transport – We travel in spacious luxury vans, customised for your comfort. You have plenty of space within the vans to sit back and relax while your luggage is carried behind in quality gear trailers.

Tour Guides – When you're doing what you love, you naturally do it better. Our staff are some of the most enthusiastic and capable people you will meet.

Each tour vehicle is accompanied by a professional guide, whose highest priority is to ensure that you are comfortable and well cared for while having the trip of a lifetime.

All are experienced travellers and are trained in all aspects of your tour, including New Zealand history, outdoor education, interpersonal skills, advanced driving, and first aid. They are also known to add their own individual flair to each trip, infusing it with fun, interest, and humour.

New Zealand Vacation Package Options

Black Sheep Touring Company offers a number of New Zealand vacation packages that vary in length and feature:

• 22-day Experience New Zealand Itinerary
• 9-day Experience North Island Itinerary
• 14-day Experience South Island Itinerary

Our Experience New Zealand Tour truly captures the best of New Zealand. It is one of the few tours available in New Zealand which covers both the country's North and South Islands. These islands are very different from each other and both offer unique and spectacular features.

Though very small, New Zealand is a country of incredible diversity, and there is a seemingly endless number of things to see and do. Our 22-day Experience New Zealand tour is highly recommended so you can gain a full appreciation of New Zealand's culture and beauty.

We do realise, however, that your time may be limited. We have, therefore, made available a 9-day Experience North Island tour option and a 14-day Experience South Island tour option.

The Experience North Island tour begins in Auckland and finishes in Wellington. The Experience South Island tour joins us in Wellington and ends in Queenstown. Both tours emphasize the features and highlights of the region you are in, and stand alone as wonderful travelling experiences.

All of these tours occur in New Zealand's summer season.

Depending on the trip you choose, you can explore the tranquil coastline of the Abel Tasman in a sea kayak, sail the stunning blue waters of the Bay of Islands in a tall sailing ship, fly over awe-inspiring glaciers, soak in your own natural hot pool on the beach, jet boat through narrow canyons, spend a sunny afternoon tasting New Zealand's award-winning wines, cruise on the breath-taking Milford Sound, swim with fur seals, drift through caves magically alight with glow worms, explore volcanic craters, and much more.

Custom New Zealand Vacation Packages

Our regularly-scheduled tours offer a broad yet highly personalised New Zealand experience. You may, however, find your desires and circumstances better suited to a Black Sheep Custom Tour.

Custom tours are ideal for those who want their own guided experience; those whose travel schedules preclude them joining one of our regular tours; those wanting a particular focus to their trip, such as golf, hiking, fishing or skiing; or families wishing to cater to their children's needs.

Hiking Options – New Zealand is celebrated for its great walks. Hiking, called tramping by New Zealanders, is a national passion and a wonderful way to immerse oneself in the country's natural beauty.

While our tours all include a selection of fine day-hikes, those with an active spirit and additional time may wish to extend their stay and explore New Zealand's wilderness more in depth. If so, Black Sheep is happy to help you organise a multiple day tramp on one of the country's famous tracks, such as the Milford or the Routeburn. We'll even help you find those not-so-famous tracks if you prefer!
