Christchurch has been awarded “Best Garden City in the World”, by virtue of its splendid public gardens, parks, tree-lined avenues, municipal and business landscaping, and superb private gardens. In every suburb, residents take pride in developing brilliant gardens.
We offer some of the best garden tours in Christchurch. We have a unique opportunity to visit a selection of private gardens. Each garden has its own special character and we welcome the opportunity to share with you some of the beautiful unseen gardens that are only accessible on our Christchurch garden tours.
Four different gardens are visited each day. During the Festival of Flowers each February, we operate tours of the official prize-winning gardens, in conjunction with the Canterbury Horticultural Society and the Christchurch Beautifying Association.
For further information about our garden tours, please contact us or visit our Christchurch guided tours Web site.
Heritage Homes Tours
This is a rare opportunity to visit selected Christchurch homes—both historic and contemporary. This tour provides a delightful mix of history, house styles and hospitality.
The lifestyles of Christchurch people throughout Canterbury's history and development are fascinating and when you pass through the front doors these stories come alive. Join us, meet the homeowners and view three completely different private homes, from the early years to the present.

The South Island's largest city and main international gateway, is a vibrant, cosmopolitan place with exciting festivals, theatre, modern art galleries, great shopping, award-winning attractions and a host of activities.
Christchurch has all the amenities of a modern city, but is still very much a regional centre serving the rich rural hinterland, with a laid-back pace to life. Its Gothic revival cathedral, grey-stone nineteenth century buildings, tree-lined avenues and extensive leafy parks have preserved the grace and charm of an earlier era.
Christchurch is a convenient base from which to explore the surrounding rural countryside and the natural attractions and activities of the region. After spending a day in the countryside visitors are able to enjoy international nightlife back in the city.
