We provide 4WD Nelson transport to all tramping tracks in the Kahurangi National Park, Nelson Lakes National Park, Abel Tasman National Park, The Pelorus, Richmond Ranges, the West Coast and other parks and tramping tracks in the top half of South Island of New Zealand.

Times and distances vary from one hour to five-and-a-half hours. In some remote areas access may depend upon weather.

Our aim is to provide reliable service for all trampers, individuals and groups, and to make their start and finish easy, using a good value flexible shuttle bus service.

Heaphy Track Transport

The Heaphy Track was named after Charles Heaphy, one of the first Europeans to have explored the area. This track was used extensively during the gold rush era in the latter 1800s. Later the Heaphy Track became Kahurangi National Park and today is one of the most walked tracks in New Zealand.

There are seven trampers' huts along the Heaphy Track and three emergency shelters, all maintained by the DOC.

Distance – 82 kilometres

Approximate Time – Four to six days

Nelson Rental Vehicles

All petrol vehicles within our Nelson transport fleet come with unlimited kilometres and insurance included. Regular full services are performed at due intervals. Our vehicles will give you transport to Heaphy Track and all manner of other tracks in the Nelson area.

Our South Island rental vehicles are chosen for their reliability; Japanese brands like Toyota and Nissan. Preventative maintenance being our rule of thumb, all are tuned and set up to run economically and reliably. Roadside assistance provided for all vehicles.

All camping station-wagons come with free tent, cooker, cooler-bin, cutlery and map.

Also in the fleet are campervans modified with a permanent double bed and mattress, curtains and storage under the bed. All vans come with a portable two ring cooker, cooler and cooking equipment.

For those that who want a little more of the homely comforts we have economical pop-top campervans that have the fridge and sink, plus all the other features such as table, drawers, seats and internal lighting, and have 240 volts external power.

Sleeper and pop-top campervans also come equipped with all the extras needed for enjoying the outdoors and touring the South Island of New Zealand.
