Accommodation Details

Your Friendly Hosts - Ian and Alison, have sold Ardara Lodge B&B in Kaikoura and now own Glenveagh B&B at 230c Clyde Road, Christchurch.

We named our B&B, Glenveagh, which is a castle in Donegal, Ireland. The Boyd family, Ians side of the family, emigrated from Ardara and Carrickfin, Donegal, in the 1860s and made home in New Zealand during the gold rush era.

Our B&B is well designed, with upstairs three bedrooms and downstairs a separate lounge and outside area for guests.

Glenveagh is well positioned as it is just off the main road from the airport to the city and connects easily with the West Coast, South and North bound traffic.

It is also in a quiet street with three restaurants within walking distance. The central city is 5 minutes by car or there is a bus stop at the gate which goes to the central city via Westfield mall. There is off street parking available.
