Wakefield is a small locality in the Nelson region of New Zealand. Wakefield is surrounded by the Mt Richmond Forest Park and the Kahurangi National Park. The Nelson Lakes are located south of Wakefield, and Nelson City is about 25 kilometres north of Wakefield, Nelson, New Zealand.

Wakefield

Wakefield is a small rural town located 25 kilometres southwest of Nelson City. Originally known as Pitfure, Wakefield was renamed after European habitation began in 1843.
