Your host Craig Garner welcomes you to the Te Horo Lodge.
Craig's home, Te Horo Lodge, is set in a rural environment adjacent to 2 hectares of native bush consisting mainly of Kohekohe trees. The Lodge is situated just 50 minutes from Wellington, at the bottom of the New Zealand's North Island.
Come let us pamper you in our purpose built country Lodge retreat, built in Canadian cedar board and batten. It is built to maximize indoor/outdoor living, with verandahs outside the three downstairs bedrooms and the dining room. The upstairs master suite has a lounge area looking directly out into the tree tops and the serenity of the bush. The décor and furnishing throughout the Lodge consist of strong vibrant colours and the stone fireplace was crafted by a local stone artist. The dining room features a large recycled timber table. The solar heated swimming pool, spa and gazebo are surrounded by a garden of manicured lawns, roses and robinia mop tops.
And here is more of what we offer:
-Relax and enjoy the peaceful and tranquil surroundings.
-You are most welcome to join Craig and his other guests for a three course home-cooked dinner, by prior arrangement only. The vegetable garden and orchard supplies the Lodge with fresh vegetables and fruit for most of the year.
Make the most of your stay on the Kapiti Coast and in the Wellington region, by experiencing some of the many recreational activities available locally, such as attending Ruth Pretty cooking classes, or experience New Zealands top links golf course at the Paraparaumu Beach Golf Course. Also visit the Kapiti Island Nature Reserve to see many of New Zealands endangered bird species.
At the Lodge you will enjoy one of four bedrooms, each with their own ensuite, no television or telephone, these are available in the lounge. The three bedrooms downstairs, Blueberry, Tamarillo, and Passionfruit rooms, all open out onto a verandah and onto expansive lawns, brightened with flower gardens and specimen trees.
